The rod that keeps the edge you paid for. It does not sharpen; it pushes the very edge back into line after use, which is what actually keeps a knife cutting between sharpenings.

• 20.5 cm rod, 13 mm across
• Hand forged high carbon alloy steel, quenched hard
• 900 grit ridges, fine enough to true an edge without removing it
• Moulded grip with a steel end cap
• Ten seconds a week is enough
